Emerald White Gold Ring

By

I love the color of white gold, with its tasteful brilliance. Yellow gold often comes off as tacky, or an overt display of one's wealth and status. White gold, on the other hand, is more subtle, exuding an elegance that doesn't demand recognition. And because of that subtle nature of white gold, white gold rings exhibit some extremely creative desings. Elaborate designs can look truly heavenly when done in white gold as opposed to yellow gold.

One gemstone whose color compliments white gold beautifully is the emerald. Like the soft silver shine of white gold, the glowing green of emeralds is a subtle color, tasteful and adult. Let's look at a couple of great emeral white gold ring examples.

The first is a 14K white gold emerald ring with 5 mm emerald cut in the shape of a heart. On either side of the emerald heart are 2 hands holding it, while the emerald appears to be part of a tiara. So the ring gives the illusion of somebody presenting a tiara to queen. This is a fitting image for the elegance and class of a white gold and emerald combination. This ring retails for $299.

The second emerald white gold ring is also 14 carat. The two 5 mm emeralds in this ring are cut and connected to form the shape of a ribbon. I'm not quite sure what the rest of the image is, but it involves several overlapping bads connecting together to form the ring. This is another flashy design that you might not be able to get away with were this yellow gold. But since it's white gold even a flamboyant design appears high class.
